House of Travel Series R2 @ Paradise Valley Raceway

After the last meeting we replaced the fan with something that wouldn't break and hoped we now had it sorted and couldn't wait to try it out and finish some races.

Race one and yes I had remembered to hand in my scrutineering card this week so started grid 3 and with a quite a few of the usual race win contenders around us we set off with a plan of staying within the top 10 and turning in some good consistent lap times. We were over half way through the race and had slipped to fifth place but right on the tail of the top 4 and not slipping back as we seem to late in the race.

Final placing was 5th and to say we are stoked with the new engine package is an understatement and all we have done is put a cam in what is a standard engine.

Race 2 and we were on grid 17. We were cruising inside the top ten and picking up positions until a last lap incident where we went for one more position with a spin on 4r for an extra point on the last corner that didn't come off, end result was no points as it wasn't done cleanly.

Race 3 and with a grid 22 start we were again picking up positions and trying to avoid some of the carnage that erupted in this race. Was a hell of a lot of fun and was nothing to serious but brought back some of the fun that reminds me of teams racing, we finished 15th and out of the points but had a good battle with 109r Jason Brown.
