2008-2009 World of Stocks
Wednesday, 01 July 2009 17:06
This was a great meeting but one that wasn't too good for the results board as we were always getting caught up in every one else’s racing incidents. The final race for the weekend was one where we were just going out there to help the local boys that were up there in the points. A couple of good hits were put in and I saw a few handed out but we got Damian 81r through to next year’s World of Stocks finals so we were happy.

2008-2009 Testing @ Kihikihi
Wednesday, 01 July 2009 17:04
We have done a few meetings over at Kihikihi to try out their new surface prior to the teams meet in April. We had some success with a win and top 3 spots but to say the least the track wasn't really too good for racing but to their credit it did come good later in the month. Once the surface is sorted out this will be one quick track to race on with the banking on the corners.

2008-2009 Bay of Plenty Champs & Teams
Wednesday, 01 July 2009 16:59
We had the Bay of Plenty stockcar champs on the first night of the World 240's and this has to be our best result so far in my short racing career with a sixth placing out of 37 cars. The top 5 cars after race two were all fellow team mates or the team manager so we were pretty keen going into the last race for a good result to get some bragging rights with the boys later on in the club rooms but with stockcar racing things don't always quite work out and we were spun up early in race three finishing 7th but 6th overall.

It was teams racing time on the 2nd night so with four cars per team we lined up against the Gisbourne Gladiators, wanting to put in a good show in front of the huge crowd. It all went pretty much to plan even after going down to 3 cars mid race but Richard came home 1st so we were pretty happy with the result.

Mid race we had a bit of a miss and less hp than I’m used to. Found after the race that the computer wasn't plugged in properly (Boy did I get shit for that!). As I’m still learning the teams racing craft I felt a little more comfortable out there with how I went and the way we worked to the game plan.
